The Cass High School volleyball team started the 2017 season Tuesday evening at home with a pair of non-region victories over North Murray and Pepperell.
The Lady Colonels swept a pair of sets with North Murray 25-12, 28-26 in the opener and took early leads in both sets with Pepperell before holding off the Lady Dragons 26-24, 25-23 in the nightcap.
In the season opener for the Lady Cats, Woodland lost all three sets with visiting Hiram 6-25, 13-25, and 14-25.

Tomorrow in Volleyball three local schools are in action with start times scheduled for 5:00.
Adairsville will play Coosa and LaFayette at Coosa
Cass will play Gilmer and Pickens at Gilmer
And Woodland will play Rockmart and East Paulding at Rockmart
