Crestwood Rd. Fire

Two people were rescued from a fire in their home Sunday night.  Cartersville firefighters were called to 5 Crestwood Road at 8:46 p.m.  The home was fully involved as crews arrived on scene.  Fire personnel had been alerted by law enforcement of possible entrapment.  Crews made an interior attack and rescued one male and one female from the home.  The couple was transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.  They were later transported to burn units.  Three engines and a tower truck attacked the fire.  The fire was stopped in the room that it originated in. Crews remained on scene until 12:49 a.m.
Earlier Sunday, Cartersville firefighters were called to Stokely Street for a fire.  They arrived on scene at 3:00 a.m. and were able to quickly get the garage fire under control.  No one was home.  The fire may have caused heavy smoke damage.  Both fires are under investigation.
Bartow County firefighters battled a fire at  Grove Circle Sunday.  According to reports, crews arrived on scene at 4:32 p.m. and found heavy fire showing. Everyone had made it out of the house except two dogs. They were able to get the dogs out of the home.  The fire was contained to the area of origination.  There were no injuries. Crews remained on scene for 3 hours.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
