ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help Toyo Tires recruit a number of workers for its manufacturing facility in Cartersville. The company, which produces tires for vehicles, is recruiting maintenance and manufacturing technicians.

The recruitment will be held Tuesday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bartow College and Career Academy, 738 Grassdale Rd.

Due to federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED). Applicants with military experience, technical or college education, or a Georgia Work Ready Certificate are encouraged to apply. Attendees may also schedule a time to take the Work Ready test at the recruitment.

Job seekers who apply for the maintenance technician jobs must have at least two years of experience using Programmable Logistic Controllers (PLC) in a working environment. Those who apply for the manufacturing technician jobs must have at least one year of experience.

Applicants must bring a resume, complete a company application, and provide Work Ready credentials. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for jobs.
