An accident on Friday morning around 6:30 caused major traffic delays for those traveling southbound on I-75. According to GSP reports, a small passenger truck was attempting to enter I-75 southbound on the on-ramp from Cassville White Road. The driver of the small passenger truck, lost control causing it to spin out of control as it was entering the southbound lanes.  The truck overturned onto its top into the I-75 southbound lanes and into the path of a tractor-trailer, which was traveling south in the middle lane.  The tractor-trailer then struck the small truck before traveling off the roadway onto the west shoulder and catching on fire. A small passenger van and a small SUV were also traveling south on I-75 behind the tractor-trailer. Both vehicles attempted to avoid striking the passenger truck but were unable to do so. All southbound lanes of I-75 were closed briefly until CHAMPS was able to pull vehicles to the west shoulder allowing the left two lanes to be opened up.  The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained minor injuries and was transported to Cartersville Medical Center.  The crash report is not complete.
