Family Evacuated from Sugar Valley Rd. Home Due to Fire

02/10/2023– at approximately 10:55 p.m. Bartow County Fire & Emergency
Services was dispatched to 391 Sugar Valley Rd SW, Cartersville to report of a
residential structure fire. The caller advised black smoke billowing
from the residence and flames showing.  Everyone was evacuated from the residence.
BCFES crews arrived on scene to find a two-story, wood-frame, residential structure
with heavy smoke showing. The fire was extinguished quickly, but due to the extent
of damage to the home, the American Red Cross was notified for assistance to
the family. No injuries were reported. BCFES Fire Investigator was called to the
scene for investigation. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
