CARTERSVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT) is advising motorists in Bartow County of a detour off Red Top Mountain Connector, scheduled for Friday, March 21, 2014, to accommodate filming a movie by TVM Productions, Inc.
The prtion of Red Top Mountain Road between Old Alabama Road and Joe Frank Harris Parkway will be closed on Friday night from 6p.m. until around 2 a.m., and traffic will be detoured onto US 41/Joe Frank Harris Parkway. The city of Emerson Police Department will help guide traffic and signs will be placed along the detour route to help motorists navigate around the closed portion of the road. This filming operation and the road closure it necessitate are weather permitting and subject to change.
