Two people died in a two-vehicle crash in Bartow early Friday morning. According to Georgia State Patrol reports, 18-year-old Bridget Canup and 20-year-old Kevin Mejia died in the collision that occurred Friday, October 27, at 1:28 a.m. According to preliminary reports, Troopers from Post 3 Cartersville responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 411 at Reynolds Bridge Road. A Mazda 3 was traveling west on Highway 411 in the eastbound lanes of travel and struck a Jeep Compass, which was traveling east on Highway 411. The driver of the Mazda 3 was identified as 18-year-old Bridget Canup of Cartersville. She was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the Jeep Compass 20-year-old, Kevin Mejia of Cartersville was also pronounced deceased.
