CassColonelsFBhelmetIn a battle of sub-region opponents, the Cass Colonels (2-2) traveled to Dalton to take on the Dalton Catamounts (3-1) to battle for supremacy. The Colonels have been known to be a second half team, but the offense could not get any sustaining drives against the Catamount defense. The Colonels did have three turnovers in the game, two of which were by cornerback Seth Hughes, but the offense was not able to turn them into points. The Colonels trailed 14-0 at halftime and were set to receive the ball back first in the second. The Dalton defense did not allow much advancement from the Cass offense and was able to score 21 points in the second half of action, leading to a 35-0 defeat.

The Colonels are not out of the playoffs and still control their own destiny. Thier 2-2 record only has one region loss and has a region win against Forsyth Central. The Colonels next game is next Friday against Creekview, a game they are expected to win according the High School Gridiron Grid.
