The Cartersville City Schools Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, July 11, 2022.

During the Business Session, the following items were presented:
The following Capturing Kids Hearts Words of the Month were approved and will be recognized at board meetings during the months of August – May.

The Board approved the following vendors for the purchase of band instruments as submitted for a total of $39,913.17. The lowest bid and delivery times were considered when awarding each item. Music and Arts (CMS) – $10,156.42 Alamo Music (CMS) – $6,958.75 Taylor Music (CMS – $3,033.00 Midwest Musical Imports (CHS) – $2,600.00 Washington Music (CHS) – $17,165.00

The Board approved a membership agreement between Cartersville City Schools and the Schlechty Standard-Bearer School District Network for the network year beginning July 1, 2022 and ending June 30, 2023 at an annual membership fee of $50,000.

The Board approved Brown & Brown for Property and Casualty Insurance for a total premium of $351,229. This amount includes the $334 additional premium option to increase the Employers Liability limits from $500,000 to $1,000,000 which was recommended by McNeary Consulting.
