The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help C.W. Matthews, a highway and heavy construction company, recruit about 200 workers for projects in middle and north Georgia.

Construction projects are planned in Cartersville, Cumming, Dawsonville, Gainesville, Griffin, Macon, Marietta, Norcross, Rome and Stockbridge.

The recruitment will be held Saturday, Feb. 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the company headquarters located at 1600 Kenview Drive in Marietta.

The company will be hiring carpenters, drivers with a commercial driver’s license (CDL), concrete finishers, distributors, equipment operators, foremen, pipe layers, superintendents and traffic-control coordinators. Some on-the-spot hiring opportunities will be available.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old.

GDOL staff will be on site to assist applicants in the screening process. Applicants are encouraged to bring a resume and dress business casual to improve their opportunities for jobs.

Job seekers planning to attend the recruitment are encouraged to visit www.employgeorgia.com to create an account and upload or create a resume. Having an Employ Georgia account expedites the interview process.
