We are pleased to announce that the Bartow County Health Department will hold Hearing, Vision, Dental, and Nutrition (HVDN) Screening and Immunization clinics on Thursday, February 20th and Thursday, February 27th from 8 AM until 5:45 PM. There will be a break from 12:00-12:30 PM for health department staff to take lunch.

Parents or legal guardians can contact the health department to schedule appointments for these clinics by calling 770-382-1920.

Accepted insurances include Medicaid, as well as Georgia State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS). For information on cost for self-pay clients, please contact Shana Townshend, Front Office Supervisor, at 678-721-3248.

The purpose of these clinics is to offer extended hours and increased availability for immunizations and HVDN screenings immediately before and after pre-school registration on Tuesday, February 25th.

During each clinic, the health department will exclusively dedicate two registered nurses to immunization services, as well as a registered nurse and a laboratory technician to HVDN screening services. Front office and administrative staff will also dedicate personnel for related support services, including transferring out-of-state vaccination records to electronic databases for children moving to Georgia.
