With March on our doorsteps a new month of events hosted by our county library system is set to begin. One of the largest events that is being hosted is one of the quarterly used book and media sales being held on March 4th. Friends of the Library members can gain access to the event starting at 9 a.m. Following that non-members will be permitted to enter from 10 a.m. until the end of the event at 2 p.m. In the last hour of the event there will be a special sale where if you buy a friend of the library bag you can fill the bag for only 5 dollars. The best part of the sale is that the proceeds go back to the library and the programs that they offer. The sale is being held at 429 West Main St. at the garage corner near main street.

On Wednesday March 1st there is also the monthly senior movie starting at 10:30 a.m. This month the library is showing Mack and Rita in the Cartersville Library Meeting room. All month long you will also be able to stop by any of our local library’s and pick up an Irish spice bread kit. Each kit has a pack of spices and a recipe to make the bread to help celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

Speaking of food on March 21st the university of Georgia extension office will be visit the library system for national nutrition month. During their time at the Cartersville Library, they will give a presentation on making informed food choices and developing healthful eating and physical activity levels. The lesson is only an hour long and will start at 11:30 a.m. in the Cartersville Library meeting room.

During March there are also plenty of weekly events for all ages to enjoy including story times, STEM days, and games. You can visit the Bartow County Library Systems website for a full calendar of events in March.
