Archery Deer Hunt for Youth Sportsmen at Allatoona Lake Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) – The Allatoona Lake Operations Project Management Office announced today that an archery-only deer hunt for youth sportsmen will take place December 9-10, 2023.

 

To be eligible for the hunt, youths must be under 16 years of age at the time of the hunt. Each hunting area will be assigned by lottery during the safety day at Wildlife Action on November 18, 2023. The safety day is mandatory for participation in the hunt. A parent or guardian must accompany each youth hunter.  Each parent or guardian must possess a valid Georgia Big Game License but may not hunt. All federal and state hunting laws and regulations will also apply.

 

Requests for reservations will be taken by phone only Monday through Friday beginning 8:00 am October 2, 2023 until 12:00 pm on November 3, 2023 or until all spaces are taken.  The available spaces will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
