Press Release from the Cartersville Exchange Club

Santa Claus is coming to town and he will be here sooner than you think.   In just five weeks, on December 5th, Santa will usher in the Christmas season in Cartersville during the Annual Cartersville Exchange Club Christmas Parade.  Members of the Exchange Club are already as busy as Elves planning the event that will begin at 6:00 PM from the parking lot of Tabernacle Baptist Church and will wind its way through the streets of Cartersville.

The parade is the largest in Northwest Georgia with over 100 floats entered annually.  It is lead off by members of the club in the “Bucket Brigade” collecting donations from the crowd and winds up with a special appearance from Santa.  Money raised from entry fees and the Bucket Brigade goes directly to two children-related charities here in Bartow County.   Last year, from the Christmas Parade, the Exchange Club was able to donate over $4000.00 each to the Advocates for Children and the Boys and Girls Club.

Entry applications and more information are available at the Exchange Club Website: www.cartersvilleexchange.com or by calling 770-608-7009

The Cartersville Bartow County Exchange Club’s mission is to create greater public awareness of the seriousness of Child Abuse and what can be done to prevent it by partnering with like-minded organizations and to make our community a better place to live.  We meet every Thursday at noon at Stonewall Manor and we welcome visitors interested in joining.
