A number of people have qualified to fill the unexpired terms of council members in Adairsville and Euharlee. Last month, Buddy Bagley resigned from the Adairsville City Council and Tracy Queen resigned from Euharlee City Council. Qualifying began Monday in Euharlee and ended Wednesday at noon. Residents qualifying to run for the vacant Euharlee City Council post include John Scifers and Greg Free. Free was a candidate for Bartow County Coroner during the May Primary Election.
Qualifying began Tuesday in Adairsville and ended Thursday. Residents qualifying to fill the vacant council seat include Ahmad Hall, Brandey Jenkins, Taylor Forsyth, Sonya Nice, Susan Satterfield and former Bartow County School Superintendent, John Harper.
The candidates have three months to campaign. The election is scheduled for November 3rd.
