A two-year-old drowning victim has been identified. Colton Taylor of Acworth drowned in a private pool at 13 Winchester Drive Monday afternoon. CPR had already been started on the child when Bartow Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene. Brad Cothran with EMS said the 2-year-old male was found unconscious and unresponsive. Emergency crews continued CPR and started advanced life support treatment. Taylor was transported to the Cartersville Medical Center for continued treatment. Despite their efforts, the child did not respond to treatment and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Taylor, an Acworth resident, was visiting with a friend when the drowning occurred.
