According to reports from the Georgia State Patrol on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 9:21 pm, Troopers from the Cartersville post of the Georgia State Patrol responded to a request for assistance from the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office for a pursuit with a stolen Ford F-250 on Highway 41. Prior to Troopers becoming involved in the pursuit, a Bartow County Sheriff’s Deputy performed a PIT maneuver on Highway 41 north of Pleasant Valley Road. The Ford F-250 left the west side of the roadway, where it overturned and ejected the driver from the vehicle. The driver was pronounced deceased on the scene. The Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
