State officials say the fair may open today as usual. Inspectors with the Georgia Fire Marshalls Office were in Cartersville inspecting a ride that malfunctioned Thursday night. The ride, “The Oriental Express” will not open tonight. State officials say other rides will be available to fair goers. No one was injured when the ride malfunctioned Thursday.
