There is still no word on the rescheduling of local sporting events following the winter weather in the area from the weekend. We will pass that information along to you when we hear it.
Over the weekend the Woodland Wildcat wrestling team avoided the snow with a trip to sunny Kissimmee, Florida as a part of the Danny Brown Invitational. Three Wildcats took home first place honors in their weight class. Caden McCrary won in the 113-pound division, Kyle Gollhoffer in the 120-pound division, and Cody Cochran in the 160-pound division.
There is a trio of high school basketball games coming up on Tuesday night. Adairsville (1-6) hosts Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (1-4) at 6 PM. Cass (2-1) hosts Hiram (4-2) at 6 PM. Woodland (1-5) hosts Rome (0-0) at 6 PM.
