Wes Dickey

The Bartow County Board of Education has approved the certified employee transfer of Dr. Wes Dickey from Woodland High School to be the principal next year of South Central Middle School at their business meeting at their central office on Monday night.

Superintendent Dr. Phillip Page stated that he was so excited that Dickey is going to be leading the process to rebrand South Central Middle School, there is no one more respected in the school system than Dickey, and is thankful that Dickey is taking the responsibility in leading that staff and community.

Dickey will be a part of a committee that will be meeting on May 7th to discuss the rebranding.

Dickey was formerly principal of Woodland Middle School for a year and only left due to the need at the high school. He told us that he loves being in middle school more than high school because he feels he can have a bigger influence on kids there.

The school board also approved David Stephenson as the new principal of Woodland High School. Stephenson is currently an assistant principal at North Cobb High School.
