The crash occurred Saturday at 6:55 p.m. on Old River Road. Jack Milam Myrick, age 50, from Emerson was operating a 1999 Harley westbound and failed to maintain the lane in a curve. The motorcycle left the road on the south shoulder and overturned at least three times. Myrick and a passenger, Edward Ellis, 53, from Emerson, were taken to Kennestone for treatment of injuries. Myrick was charged with DUI, failing to maintain lane, and driving on the wrong side of the road.
