Bartow County deputies were dispatched to a residence on Apache Drive in Acworth early Monday morning for what turned out to be an alleged attempted murder.
39-year-old Maenita Thomas allegedly entered a room at the residence with a machete and attempted to strike the complainant. The complainant was able to grab the blade and a struggle ensued, leading to the complainant getting a very large cut on his hand.
Due to physical and testimonial evidence, warrants have been taken out for criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated assault, aggravated assault to an elderly person, battery, battery to an elderly person, and cruelty to an elderly person.
Maenita Thomas is a 39-year-old black female who is around 5’6″ and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
