According to reports with the GA State Patrol, this occurred around 11:15 p.m. on June 20. Initial indication is that a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling north on highway 41 in the right lane. A pedestrian was walking his bicycle on the right edge of the northbound lane of highway 41. The vehicle struck the pedestrian from the rear with its front. The pedestrian, Jordin Metcalf, 18,of Waleska, was fatally injured. Ellen Allen, 52, of Cartersville was driving the Tahoe.
pCharges are pending the completion of a follow up investigation by the GSP Specialized Collison Reconstruction Team.
