In the early morning hours on Saturday, June 15, 2024, a Bartow County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to perform a traffic stop on a U-Haul box truck after observing it behind the Cartersville Crossing Shopping Center, 407 E. Main Street.  After a brief chase, the vehicle stopped, and the driver and passenger fled on foot.  Apprehended at the scene was Adrian Jamar Daniels. A search of the U-Haul revealed a large quantity of fireworks that had been taken during a burglary of the Great Grizzly Fireworks Store, 441 E. Main Street.

 

Mr. Daniels was charged with Burglary, Theft by Taking, Theft by Receiving, Fleeing & Eluding, Altering a Tag with Intent to Conceal Identity of a Vehicle, Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device, Driving While License Suspended, and Obstruction. Cartersville Police Investigators charged Sharina Victoria Jackson with Party to a crime for her role in the burglary.  Mr. Daniels and Ms. Jackson were housed at the Bartow County Jail pending a bond hearing.  The Cartersville Police Department wishes to send their appreciation to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office for a job well done
