On November 8, 2021, the Cartersville Police Department responded to Puckett Street in Cartersville due to a report of a stabbing. The victim was transported to the Cartersville Medical Center for treatment. Officers identified two suspects involved in the incident. Misty Wood, age 44 of Cartersville, was later located and arrested for her involvement in the incident. Jamie Cunningham age 50 of Cartersville, was also located and arrested in connection with the investigation.
Jamie Cunningham was charged with Aggravated Assault.
Misty Wood was charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Knife During the Commission of a Felony.
