In Bartow County’s presidential preference primary, unofficial and incomplete numbers have Donald Trump as the Republican pick and Hillary Clinton as the Democrat pick. Only the provisional ballots have not been counted and those won’t affect the outcome.

On the Republican side, Trump got 46 percent of the vote, Ted Cruz had 25, Marco Rubio had 18, Ben Carson had 6, and John Kasich had 3. The rest of the votes went to candidates that have dropped out of the race.

On the Democratic side, Clinton got 59 percent, Bernie Sanders got 40, and Michael Steinberg got 1 percent.

Voter turnout from active registered voters was 48 percent. We’ll have more during Bartow’s Morning News, the 11:45 news, and the 5:00 news.
