The Adairsville Tigers (5-3, 4-2) fell to the Rockmart Yellow Jackets on Friday night by a score of 45-7.

Rockmart held the ball for 18 of the game’s first 24 minutes and averaged just under 6.5 yards per play in the first 24 minutes. Rockmart and Adairsville were tied at the end of the first quarter, but the Yellow Jackets would hold a 17-0 lead at the half.

In a span of 30 seconds, Adairsville allowed 14 points to help put the game away in the third quarter. Connor Crunkelton threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Chris Roper with 1:16 left in the third quarter, but the score would be too little, too late for the Tigers.

Adairsville will look to get back in the win column next Friday night as it hosts North Murray at 7:30.
