According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, on Wednesday, 11-16-2016, at approximately 6:44 p.m.,  deputies were dispatched to 960 Joe Frank Harris Parkway, Cartersville Medical
Center in reference to a shooting incident.  Upon arrival Deputies met with a male and female victim who were standing by in their vehicle outside the building. The female victim had extensive injuries and was rushed inside the emergency room for treatment by medical personnel.  A juvenile victim was also in the vehicle but was not injured during the incident.  The male victim reported while he was driving down Mac Johnson Road approaching the Cassville Road intersection stop sign, he observed a black passenger car rapidly approach his vehicle from behind. The suspect vehicle passed by the victim’s vehicle on the driver’s side. The male victim reported hearing multiple gun shots, his vehicle being struck with bullets, and glass breaking. The suspect vehicle continued through the intersection and went north on Cassville Road.  The male Victim noticed the female victim who was seated in the front passenger seat had been struck by a bullet(s) and rushed her to the Cartersville Medical Center for treatment.

Criminal Investigators were contacted and responded to the scene for further investigation.  Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Bartow County
