According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, investigators have charged Mathew Grant Wall with Armed Robbery, False Imprisonment, and Aggravated Assault. In a September 29th, 2013 Bartow County Sheriff’s Office incident report, two victims called 911 after they were robbed at gunpoint in their Lynn Circle (Acworth) home. The two victims reported to deputies that at around 6:30AM, someone was banging on their door saying they were with Acworth Water Department. One victim opened the door and two males came in. One of the suspects pointed a gun at them and made them lie down on their stomachs. Another male entered and ransacked the home. One victim was repeatedly kicked in the face, stomach and back. The two victims were tied up with rope and the suspects left taking valuables from the home.
Sheriff Millsap stated that investigators were able to identify one of the males as Wall after further interviews and investigation. Wall was arrested at the Cobb County Jail just before 3AM this morning after having been picked up by Cobb County authorities. He is currently being held at the Bartow County Jail without bond pending a Superior Court hearing. None of the property taken has been recovered at this time.
