Are local schools going to reopen? When are they going to reopen? What is school going to look like? The Cartersville and Bartow County school boards discussed those very questions in meetings at the Cartersville High gymnasium and Bartow Schools central office respectively on Monday.

The Georgia Department of Education and Georgia Department of Public Health have determined that district leaders will assign a color designation of a school based on current information from the public health department. Green means a school has no or low spread of COVID-19. Yellow means a minimal or moderate spread. Red means a substantial spread. Those colors will determine a course of action for a school.
