All members of Bartow’s Legislative Delegation say they signed off on legislation that would allow Bartow residents to vote on a Senior Tax Exemption in November. However, the legislation did not make it out of the Senate before the session ended last week. WBHF spoke with State Senator Chuck Hufstetler. The Senator said he signed the legislation but thinks it’s not a good idea at this time.
Hufstetler says he has seen school systems get into trouble minus the economic impact expected by COVID 19. Hufstetler was asked if he opposed some type of relief for seniors. His comments in the interview below.
