Mitchell Scoggins has won the special Republican primary for the State Representative District 14 seat vacated by Christian Coomer, who was appointed to serve as a judge on the Appellate Court of Georgia.
The unofficial results have Scoggins receiving 2,048 votes, which was 64.54% of all votes cast. Ken Coomer finished with 893 votes. Nickie Leighly had 155 votes. Nathan Wilson got 77 votes.
In Bartow County’s eight precincts that participated in this election, Mitchell Scoggins won 70.51% of the vote.
The overall voter turnout was 9.42% with the Bartow County turnout being 10.94%
