It’s official. The Bartow County School Board approved the facility rebranding name change of South Central Middle School to Red Top Middle School during a business meeting Monday night.
Miners will replace Chieftains as the school nickname. The school colors will be red, silver, and white.
No official logo has been selected yet. The committee that came up with the name will reconvene to finalize a logo.
The name and brand was chosen to reflect the community moving forward and the representation of the history of Emerson.
