The Cass Colonels (3-2, 2-1) fell to the Rome Wolves by a score of 49-10 on Friday to suffer their first region loss of the season. The Cass defense was unable to stop the rushing duo of EJ Burks and Ahijah Blackwell, who totaled a combined five touchdowns in the contest.
Cass got its lone touchdown with 2:45 left in the game when Triston Mize threw a 7-yard touchdown to Brandon Martin.
Cass has no time to dwell on the loss, however, as next week the Colonels will hit the road to take on the Carrollton Trojans.
