Isn’t it amazing how one person can make such an incredible impact on others?

“Greg Anderson contributed so much during his impressive 38 years with our Parks & Recreation department.

He oversaw many projects and trail development throughout our great City. But what many of us knew, without a doubt, is his pure love for Pine Mountain. Greg hiked those trails countless times, including guiding moonlight and employee hikes. He also cleaned anything that needed to be addressed along his way to the summit, always leaving it better than he found it.

Greg’s dedication deserves to be seen and known by others. I believe an appropriate way to do this is having his name along the trails he loves so much. This has been on my mind and in my heart and I believe naming part of Pine Mountain is the perfect way to recognize Greg. It would put a smile on his face as well as the rest of our faces, knowing that his dedication is what helped make Pine Mountain everything that it is today.”  – Teresa Myrick

The City of Cartersville would like to thank Greg for making such an impression and thank Teresa for such a thoughtful and sweet idea. We are delighted and proud to announce the newly renamed “Greg Anderson Trail System at Pine Mountain”!
