Cartersville Investigators on the scene of an apparent home invasion at an apartment complex on Old Mill Road. According to Cartersville Police Chief Tommy Culpepper, the incident occurred around 10:05 AM to 390 Old Mill Road. The victim is identified as Blake King who reported the robbery says that two black males broke into his apartment and stole a weapon and some other items. Both were wearing black t-shirts and blue jeans. Mr. King was struck on the head and was receiving medical treatment, however the severity of his injuries are unknown. The two suspects were seen fleeing the area and the investigation is continuing.
Chief Culpepper also stated that this incident does NOT affect the nearby schools, since the suspects are not in the immediate area of the robbery. Tune in to WBHF AM 1450 at 11:45 for the latest including the interview with the police chief.
