Today, Matthew Gambill, Bartow County native and Executive Director of the Georgia Association for Career & Technical Education, announced his campaign for State House District 15, seeking to fill the vacancy from Representative Paul Battles’ upcoming retirement.

“I am excited to announce my campaign for State House, and I want to thank Paul Battles for his record of distinguished service to our community. I come from a family with deep roots in Cartersville and Bartow County and a solid record of service in the civic, church, business, and political arenas. It’s my commitment to that legacy of service that now fuels my desire to serve our community in the State House.”

 

He is a graduate of Cartersville High School and holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Lee University.

Matthew also serves on the board of directors for the National Association for Career & Technical Education, ACTE National Executive Directors Association, and the Boys and Girls Clubs Georgia Alliance. He is also a member of the Georgia Society of Association Executives, Georgia Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the Governmental Affairs Council, The Georgia Economic Developers Association, and the Georgia Department of Economic Development Work Force Division Trade 5 Advisory Council.
