A local man is jailed for leaving his baby in the car while he shopped. According to Atlanta media, Christopher Hiatt left the baby in the car Saturday night and went inside the Cartersville Wal-Mart. Bartow County deputies found the baby in the unlocked car, removed her, and called EMS for an evaluation. The baby was released to her mother.
Hiatt reportedly told authorities he forgot that his daughter was in the car. Hiatt was released from the Bartow County Jail Tuesday on a $1,000 property bond.
