According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, on May 28, 2014, authorities in North Carolina contacted the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office to assist in locating a runaway juvenile possibly located at a residence in White, Ga.
Upon arrival at the residence, deputies made contact with Matthew Mastrom who admitted that the juvenile was currently in his home. Further investigation revealed that Mastrom had traveled from Georgia to North Carolina to pick up the juvenile and upon their return to Georgia they became involved in a sexual relationship.
Matthew Mastrom, age 30, of White GA, was charged with Interference with Child Custody, Aggravated Child Molestation (2 counts), Child Molestation (7 counts), Statutory Rape, Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes, and Obstruction of an Officer.
