In softball on Tuesday, the Lady Colonels concluded their season with a 12-9 loss to Carrollton. Cass finished the season 6-19 overall and 4-10 in region play. The Excel softball team fell to Christian Heritage by a score of 6-3 last night. The Lady Cats picked up a regular season win, as they beat East Paulding by a score of 4-1. Woodland is 10-16 and 6-8 in region play. Its next contest will be the region tournament, as Woodland will host Paulding County in a doubleheader tomorrow. Meanwhile, the Adairsville Lady Tigers were eliminated from their region tournament Tuesday night, as they dropped two games to Ringgold by scores of 3-2 and 11-0. Adairsville finished the season with a 9-13 mark and 5-10 in region play.
Today in softball, Cartersville will conclude its regular season play as it hosts Darlington at 5:30.
Tomorrow in softball, Excel will conclude its regular season play as it travels to Darlington at 4:30.
Tomorrow in volleyball, Adairsville will travel with Rome and Murray County to Armuchee for matches that begin at 5 PM, Cass will travel to Pepperell at 5 PM, and Cartersville will host Woodland and Pickens at 6 PM.
