Two local collegiate basketball teams advanced to the second round of their conference tournament last night and will face each other next. Chattahoochee Tech beat Atlanta Metro by a score of 81-79. Former Cartersville Purple Hurricane AJ Mosby hit the game winning shot with 1.2 seconds remaining on the clock.

Georgia Highlands also advanced to the second round of the GCAA tournament on Tuesday night. The Chargers, who are ranked 2nd in the NJCAA, beat East Georgia State 104-95. Georgia Highlands will now face off against Chattahoochee Tech tomorrow night at Georgia Highlands College, with tip off coming at 7:30.

The game between Cartersville and Parkview was postponed yesterday, due to the inclement weather and will be made up today. First pitch is scheduled for 5:55 and you can hear the game live on AM 1450 WBHF and FM 100.3, with pre-game coming your way at 5:45.

Also on the baseball agenda today, Woodland and Cass have region games at 5:55. Cass will travel to Creekview and Woodland will welcome River Ridge.

Tomorrow on the baseball agenda, Adairsville will travel to Darlington at 4:30 and Excel will look for its first win of the season when it welcomes Trion at 5:00.
