In baseball, Excel lost to Mount Paran by a socre of 16-1 in three innings and Woodland fell to Rome by a score of 2-1. Despite leading for five innings, the Wildcats gave up one run in the fifth and sixth inning to fall to 1-6 on the season and 0-4 in region play.
Today in sports, at the collegiate level, Georgia Highlands will welcome Wallace State for a doubleheader at 3:00. The Chargers are 13-9 on the season and will have six games this week, before starting conference play next Tuesday.

Tomorrow in baseball, Cass host Ooltewah at 5:30 for a non-region contest. Woodland and Rome will play Game two of their series at Rome at 5:50. Woodland will be searching for their first region win of the season.
