Yesterday was not a good day for Bartow County in baseball, as Excel lost to King’s Ridge by a score of 13-1, Cass fell to Dalton by a score of 14-2, and Woodland was downed by Creekview in a 5-3 loss.

Here is how the county currently stacks up in their respective baseball standings:

Excel is currently 1-9 on the season and 0-9 in region play, which puts them in last place in Region 6-A.

Adairsville is currently 6-4 on the season and 3-1 in region play, which puts them in a tie for second place in Region 6-AAA.

Cartersville is 4-6 overall and will start their first region game today.

Cass is 4-8 in the season and 3-4 in region play, while Woodland is 2-11 on the season and 1-9 in region play. Cass is currently 5th and Woodland is 7th in their Region-4A sub-region.

Today in baseball, Cartersville will travel to Gilmer at 5:30, Excel will welcome Pinecrest at 5:30 and Adairsville will welcome Ringgold at 5:55.

On today’s soccer agenda, Woodland will travel to Dalton at 5:30 and the Adairsville girls will welcome Calhoun at 5:30.

Tomorrow on the baseball slate, three local teams are in action at 5:55. Woodland will travel to Creekview, Cass will host Dalton and Cartersville will host Northwest Whitfield.
