The Adairsville softball team posted 10 runs in the opening three innings in the team’s 13-5 win over Cass on Monday, despite Cass taking an early 2-0 lead. Cass fell to 2-5 on the season, while Adairsville improved to 5-5. The Excel softball team also earned a win Monday night with a 9-7 win over Gordon Central. With the victory, Excel improved to 4-3 on the season.
Today in softball, four local teams are in action. Adairsville will host Bremen at 5:30, Cartersville will host Sandy Creek at 5:55, Cass will host Hiram at 5:55 and Woodland will host Kell at 5:55.
Today in volleyball, Woodland and Campbell will travel to South Cobb for matches that begin at 5 PM.
