Today in baseball, the Georgia Highlands Chargers will play Gordon State at State Mutual Stadium in Rome, home of the Rome Braves, at 5:30. The Chargers are 9-11 in conference play this season and have just six conference games remaining on their schedule. The Chargers have lost five of their last six.
Later on this week, both Adairsville and Cartersville baseball teams will start postseason play with Adairsville, which is the No. 3 seed, traveling to No. 2 seeded Dawson County and the No. 2 seeded Cartersville Purple Hurricanes, hosting Redan at 4:00.
