Four local teams have softball games today with all times starting at 5:55. Adairsville will travel to Ringgold, Cass will travel to Kell, Woodland will travel to Carrollton and Cartersville will host Cedartown.

On today’s volleyball slate, Cartersville and Woodland will play at Marietta at 5 PM, while Cass will host Adairsville and Pepperell at 6 PM.

Tomorrow football begins in Bartow County as three local teams will play scrimmages at 7 PM. Adairsville will travel to Woodland and Cartersville will host Westminster. Don’t forget WBHF is your spot for high school football in 2016 and will begin broadcasting next Friday when Cartersville hosts Allatoona.

Tomorrow in volleyball, Cartersville will play at the Sequoyah Classic Tournament.

A recent Woodland High School graduate received a football scholarship on Monday. Former Woodland long-snapper Brett Shedd signed a scholarship to play at Shorter University.

And the accolades continue for Cartersville junior quarterback Trevor Lawrence, as he was recently ranked by Rivals as the No. 1 prospect in the 2018 class. Lawrence is ranked as the No. 1 prospect by Rivals, 247 Sports and Scout, and is ranked as the No. 3 prospect by ESPN.
