To recap basketball action from Friday night, the Adairsville boys beat Bremen by a score of 62-45. The Tigers were led in scoring by Cody Henderson with 13 points, while Hunter Hice added 12 and Grayson Dailey followed with 11.

The Adairsville girls also picked up a win against Bremen Friday night as they won by a score of 67-56. The game was tight through the first quarter, but the Lady Tigers outscored Bremen 23-6 in the second quarter to take control of the game.

The Cass girls beat Walton by a score of 57-38 and pulled away in the second quarter when Jana Morning hit a 3-pointer, assisted Payton Stoddard for another and then drained another 3 in a quick sequence that demoralized Walton.

The Cass boys lost a non-region game to Dacula on Friday by a score of 74-63. Cass’ Jake Collum scored eight of his 17 points in the first half, and the Colonels scored 18 points in the first quarter.

The Excel Lady Eagles fell to North Cobb Christian by a score of 40-39 on Friday night. Excel led by a score of 30-28 entering the final period, but North Cobb Chrisitan hit three 3-pointers in the fourth to outscore Excel 12-9 in the final eight minutes.

In Saturday’s basketball action, the Cass boys beat West Hall 66-34. Ashton Burley led the Colonels with 12 points, while C.J. Bennett and Ian Whittington added 10 a piece.

The Cartersville boys team beat Paulding County by a score of 97-86. Jaylon Pugh scored 34 points, with all of them coming in the game’s final three quarters. Pugh also had 10 rebounds in the contest.

The Cartersville Lady Canes beat Paulding County by 60-23 on Saturday. Madison McKinney scored 20 points and hauled in eight rebounds as Cartersville pulled away.

The Woodland boys lost to Model by a score of 45-32 on Saturday. Justice Hayes scored nine points, while Trevor Knowles had eight.

Also on Saturday, the Woodland Lady Cats fell to Model by a score of 65-16.

Today in basketball, the Georgia Highlands Lady Chargers will host Wallace State-Hanceville at 1:00, the Woodland girls will host Coosa at 4:00, the Adairsville boys will travel to Gordon Central at 4:30, the Chattahoochee Tech Lady Eagles will host West Georgia Tech at 5:30 and the Chattahoochee Tech men’s team will host West Georgia Tech at 7:30.

Tomorrow in basketball, the Adairsville girls will travel to Southeast Whitfield County at 7:00 and the Adairsville boys will travel to Southeast Whitfield County at 8:15.
