A body found from a creek in Floyd County on Sunday night was identified as a local man. Floyd County Coroner Gene Proctor confirmed that the body pulled in from a creek in Coosa was that of 36-year-old Kenneth Sprayberry, who had not been seen in a week. A property owner was walking the area when he saw something odd in the creek. Upon further investigation, he found that it was a dead male. After further searching the area, authorities located Sprayberry’s wallet, which had a Kingston address. Sprayberry listed Cartersville as his place of residence via social media. Proctor stated that there were no obvious signs of foul play, but admitted that it was difficult to tell given the condition the body was found. Sprayberry’s body is being examined at the GBI crime lab in an effort to find the cause of death.
