Bartow County Sheriff’s Office detectives recently contacted Adairsville Police with a Georgia Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) referral.
It accused 29-year-old James Ray Reed of Adairsville of inappropriate behavior involving a juvenile at a residence in Adairsville.
His wife, 29-year-old Katherine Elizabeth Reed of Adairsville, was aware of the events that transpired.
Both James and Katherine were brought into the Adairsville Police Department on August 19th for further investigation.
James Reed was subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of child molestation with an offense date of July 27th.
Katherine Reed was arrested and charged with one count of false statements and writings and the concealment of facts with an offense date of August 4th.
Officers transported both James and Katherine Reed to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office without incident.
