Christopher N. Garrett

On November 7th, Baldwin County Alabama Sheriff Deputies attempted to stop a 2015 Chevy Camaro on Highway 90 for speeding.

The vehicle fled from deputies and a pursuit was initiated.

The vehicle came to a stop after it had engine troubles and deputies were able to take a person initially identified as Bradley Lee Layland of St. Augustine Beach, FL into custody.

After interviewing the suspect, it was discovered the suspect’s real name was Christopher N. Garrett of Cartersville. Garrett was initially arrested for attempting to elude and driving under the influence.

A search of the vehicle revealed that Garrett had over 3.2 pounds of methamphetamine, counterfeit currency, marijuana, and a pistol in his possession. He is currently being charged with the following:

Trafficking in Methamphetamine
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of a Concealed Weapon without a Permit
Driving Under the Influence
Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement

Garrett also has federal warrants for counterfeiting and drug conspiracy. He is being held at the Baldwin County Correction Center.
